ANDREW PHILIPPART FORMER SPECIAL BRANCH CLOSE PROTECTION SCOTLAND YARD

Andrew is a former Royal Marine and Metropolitan Police Special Branch Officer with 23 years’ experience in the Branch. Achieving the highest level of security clearance, he was involved alongside the Security Services in numerous sensitive enquiries and surveillance operations throughout the United Kingdom, many during the height of the unrest in Northern Ireland.

His career in the Royal Marines meant he was ideal for these duties, having been one of the youngest recruits ever to be selected for the SBS, straight out of basic training.

As a protection officer leading teams protecting former Prime Ministers, other high ranking Ministers, senior military commanders and a famous author, he has travelled to every continent except South America and the two polar regions, often to areas of conflict.

Upon retiring he spent time in Hong Kong as Head of Executive Protection to Lawrence Ho, son of Stanley Ho, the most prominent owner of casinos in Macau and now the rest of Asia; later gaining practical experience in Embassy security working in Riyadh.

One of his most memorable recent experiences is being part of the amazing London Olympics, 2012 as a Venue Security Manager.
