DAVID MARTIN BOND 40 YRS POLICE SERVICE

15 YEARS TOASTMASTER EXPERIENCE

 

David is a person of Dual Heritage, having both American and British Nationalities. His father was a US Navy Rating, who met, loved and married his Mother and returned to the United States after World War 2 when it was at this point David’s mother chose not to join him.

 

David spent 28 years looking for his American family before finding them in North Carolina (a story in itself) (see Topics).

 

David is a Toastmaster of fifteen years, who has over 40 years Police experience having served in the Metropolitan Police, The Royal Military Police and in later years the Hertfordshire Constabulary. He has seen service in Northern Ireland, Germany and London. His range of experience includes normal police duties, Special Investigation Branch, CID, Village Policeman and in the latter years a Crime Scene Examiner and Forensic Trainer.

 

In a career break, between the Metropolitan Police and the Royal Military Police, David worked in the Leisure Industry working with such stars as Ronnie Corbett, Bob Monkhouse, ‘Diddie’ David Hamilton and other celebrities of that era.

 

As a Toastmaster he has officiated at corporate events, Gala Evenings and Many weddings, from assorted cultural backgrounds.

 

His hobbies include Golf, Masonry, Cooking and Drawing.

 

David stands 6ft 5 inches tall and commands an authoritive persona which demands your attention
