TOM ROBSON   AUTHOR, LECTURER AND EX-NAVY

Tom enlisted into the Royal Navy at the age of 15. He saw service worldwide and left the navy with excellent references. Later, he turned to writing short stories then he wrote two books A Lad from Durham and Boy Seaman Royal Navy. The book was a success, telling the history of Boy Service for the first time. The Hampshire Education Authority uses it as a reference book.  Then followed lots of requests to present talks at many organizations, like Rotary. Then followed suggestions to him to consider cruise lecturing. He then had six lectures to present with good receptions.

He was then awarded Life Membership of the Royal Naval Association and during his travels was awarded the insignia of Company Commander US Navy. The Pacific Fleet Admiral Tom Fargo presented him with several Mementoes including the battle plan of the Battle of Midway 1942. His lectures and early life have now been recorded on tapes and are distributed through a Blind society worldwide. A recent report said the tapes were receiving excellent reviews.
