Former Detective, Liverpool, Merseyside Police and Regional Crime Squad. Following retirement, attended University and obtained an honours degree in Applied Psychology whilst at the same time qualifying as a teacher. Currently, advises local health authorities on fraud-related issues and undertakes fraud investigations on a consultancy basis, whilst continuing to partake in a variety of short courses at College and University as part of his enthusiasm for life-long learning.
