Published author (as Christine Dunbobbin), actress, voice-over artist, and after diner speaker. Appeared in television plays and commercials, recorded numerous audio novels. Seven years at BBC Radio Merseyside reading short stories and poetry. Radio commercials and animated cartoon characters, specialising in cartoon voices and all sorts of regional accents.
Married for many years to the late actor Ray Dunbobbin perhaps best known as Mr Boswell in the Liver Birds and as Ralph Hardwicke on Brookside a part he played for over six years. During that time met many well known Film, T.V. and Radio Actors. Many a story to tell!
Books mostly non-fiction. Two most popular are about the celebrities, both past and present, of Northern England. Writing style chatty & gossipy, show-biz, sports, political and scientific. Books have been available for many years at Waterston’s, WH Smiths, Sainsburys and Tesco. Christine will be pleased to sign books for cruise ship passengers.
Talks include well-known figures Ken Dodd, Rex Harrison and Kim Cattral, George Melly, Sir Thomas Beecham, Bessie Braddock, sporting and historical characters.
A life full of contrasts and a source of numerous amusing anecdotes able Christine to impersonate the eccentric or endearing characters and situations she has encountered over the years.
