PETER STEARNE  C.Eng., B.Sc Eng, M.I.Arg.Eng. LECTURER & ORGANISER OF STUDY TRIPS

 

Working in horticulture and agriculture as a consultant, since graduation from the National College of Engineering in 1981. Both for ADAS and latterly running his own international consultancy business, with his wife, Kathy. Clients included Kew Gardens and RHS Wisley as well as commercial Growers. Regularly visiting Europe, America and New Zealand on Business, organising lectures and study trips in Britain and abroad for clients. He also delivered technical presentations at global Horticultural Engineering events in Israel and Canada. Presently lecturing Army HND Engineering students.

With childhood on a small farm in Cambridgeshire, his Father looked after a collection of 28 full size steam traction engines owner by a local farmer. Peter is an avid model engineer most recently building from scratch a working quarter scale fair ground with 3 live steam traction engines.

A love of travel and cursing, has recently taken Peter round the Baltic, Norway, Iceland and the Canaries.
