JOCHEN ERLER      WINE SPECIALIST - WINE TOURISM AND WINE SPAS

Let me introduce myself – I am Jochen Erler, my specialization is wine. All through my life, wine was a companion to me. During my international career in academia and civil service I started occasional wine consulting which led after retirement to my second career: professional wine writing and judging wine & spirits at competitions world-wide.

I have visited all the wine producing countries in Europe, wineries in Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. I also became a tour guide in wine tourism. I have been doing this now for more than twenty years. To keep me going I combine wine with spas   -   hence one of the topics of my presentations is Wine Therapy, the most recent trend in health and skin care.

My other topics are Wine Tourism, and lectures on wine styles, grape varieties, organic and biodynamic wines etc. I will speak about the wines of the countries visited, in particular about their indigenous grape varieties.

I am available to monitor wine tastings.

I have made some 15 transatlantic crossings on scheduled sailings.
