In November 1990 joined Special Branch (A. Squad. Diplomatic Close Protection Unit).Where he served until his retirement. During his time with Special Branch he carried out protection duties with 3 Prime Ministers, various Government Ministers, visiting Heads of State and Royalty. He also provided protection for Salman Rushdie from 1991 -1995. Since retiring in January 2004 he has been self employed as a defensive driving instructor giving training to the Civil Aviation Authority, National Air Traffic Society and other companies.
