JOY JACKSON, FCIP, RF

Joy Jackson has lived in the City of London, Ontario, Canada for over 30 years.

She is a former member of International Training in Communications and the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.

After progressing in her career, Joy had the opportunity to work in the municipal sector for the City of London, Ontario. London is one of the largest cities in Canada and as a single-tier municipality runs about 100 different operations.

Joy has written and published three risk management books that stress practical ways of using risk tools to make facilities and events safe for all users. In her spare time, she runs a training business, presenting workshops and seminars on risk management across Canada while continuing to teach risk management at Fanshawe College in London.

Joy loves to travel and has visited many countries in Europe, North and Central America and Australia, plus every province in Canada and 25 of the 50 American states. Cruising has become one of her favourite ways to see the world.

As a Swarovski crystal collector for over 25 years, Joy’s focus is on members-only annual collectors’ pieces. Aside from annual pieces, her favourites include horses and all types of flowers.

Joy also has a large assortment of Budweiser beer mugs, collected with the aid of her husband. Many of these are annual members-only pieces as well. He joined the Budweiser beer mug collector’s society the first year it was established. Many people collect beer mugs; this series includes information on the history of beer mug design and development around the world.
